As reported by ZDNet’s Mary Jo, Microsoft may miss its planned shipping date for its most awaited dual-screen device – Surface Neo.
The reason for this is of course, related to COVID-19 and its impact on development of Windows 10X – Microsoft’s new mobile friendly operating system. Mary Jo writes, Microsoft will not be shipping any Windows 10X first party devices this year, as well as no third party OEMs will release dual-screen devices running Windows 10X.
The good news however, for a lot of guys I personally know and tech enthusiasts on the internet have been asking Microsoft to bring Windows 10X to traditional laptop style/2-in-1 form factors which earlier Microsoft never clarified if they were going to do it. But now it seems they are focusing on bringing Windows 10X to Chromebook like devices, to compete against of course, Chromebooks and also iPad Pros.
Mary Jo also adds, that so far Surface Duo powered by Android is still on schedule and no reports of it getting delayed.
