Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer – Panos Panay took to the blog post today and announced the new lady in charge for the Windows Insiders Program – Microsoft’s beta testing program for Windows 10.
Panos, who was recently awarded the Chief Product Officer position and got the Windows Client division under his belt as well has made few changes in his first 30 days as Windows chief.
Panos Panay wrote that he sees the passion, dedication and deep knowledge of the Windows Insider community which is made up of more than 18+ million passionate power users (including myself) of Windows 10 who have a profound impact on the development of the operating system.
He adds,
To keep this momentum going and continue to grow and innovate in Windows, it’s clear we need the right person to lead this powerful community into the next era, which is why I’m excited to announce Amanda Langowski as the new lead for the Windows Insider Program.

Amanda is apparently a veteran at Microsoft for over 20 years in the business. In her career spanning over 20 years, she was part of the coordinating beta programs for Windows.
If you are not familiar with the Windows Insiders Program (WIP), the WIP was created 5 years ago to help shape, test and get feedback from the most passionate community of the Windows Operating System. Today, the Windows team listens to this WIP community, let the community test upcoming features, listen to what they say, the likes and dislikes, and give them information which is not yet public.
I am privileged and honored to be part of this awesome Windows Insiders team and have been testing and participating with the Windows engineers for 5 years now.
