WhatsApp announced yesterday through a blog post that there are more than 2 billion users around the world for the social chat application, which was bought by Facebook for whooping USD19 Billion in 2014.
Indeed, WhatsApp is a popular chat platform and most of my inner and outer circle friends, family and colleagues are all on WhatsApp. There are even businesses using WhatsApp Groups to collaborate with their co-workers.
WhatsApp is known for its easy to use user interface, group video calling and more.
Messages in WhatsApp are encrypted by default, making it difficult for hackers to intercept messages in transit.
It’s time for WhatsApp and Facebook teams to celebrate such a big milestone.
