Microsoft is touting a major update to its Android Launcher – Microsoft Launcher that is coming soon.
I have a secondary Android phone – Samsung Galaxy S8 and I have been running Microsoft Launcher ever since and I pretty like it very much over OneUI by Samsung. In short, if you are a Microsoft fan and want Microsoft experience on an Android, then this is the Launcher you should go for.

Microsoft says, “Be among the first to help us test brand-new early-stage features as we build an improved version of Microsoft Launcher,” the app listing reads. “The goal of this program is to gain your valuable feedback to improve quality, performance and shape the overall user experience.“
According to Microsoft, the Launcher has been re-written to bring in new features such as Dark and Landscape mode. It also brings tonnes of performance improvements, faster load times, battery optimization, smoother animations and better memory utilization.
So far we don’t know when it is going to release but WindowsCentral says this is probably the same skin/launcher that will be made available for Microsoft’s upcoming phone – Surface Duo. I believe the Launcher will be ready somewhere around October when Duo is expected to launch in Microsoft’s Surface event that takes place every October.
