Amazon Music arrives in Microsoft Store

One more important app makes way into Microsoft Store - it is the Amazon Music Streaming Service

So even before Apple’s iTunes comes to Microsoft Store which they had announced last year. Amazon’s Music service comes to Windows 10’s Microsoft Store.

Following Spotify’s footsteps, Amazon Music is not a true UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app but a desktop bridge Win32 converted app. Microsoft’s desktop bridge is a technology that, in simple words, repackages existing Win32 apps such as Amazon Music or Spotify and converts or wraps it into a container with an appx extension so that it can be published to Microsoft Store.

Amazon Music is a popular music streaming service with over 40 million songs, and if you have a valid Amazon Prime subscription then you can enjoy this service on Windows 10, or on any other platform for that matter.

The Amazon Music app in my Store says, “Amazon Music is currently not available”, they are still rolling this app out slowly. What I am not sure whether Amazon Music will be available in Kenya as of now.
